Finding a Computer for You

All families and individuals with financial needs are eligible and welcome to purchase devices.

2. Select Device

Choose from Chromebooks, desktops, and laptops with different features and brands to meet your needs

3. Make Payment

Make a payment on our website and pick up by coming to our office, making an appointment, or home delivery (limited).

  1. Am I eligible for a computer?

TechCharities strives to remove barriers to serve all families and individuals in need of a computer. We don’t ask for documentation of hardship in most cases beyond attesting your need at the time of purchase.

In instances of limited supply, we may request any qualifying documentation as proof of financial hardship such as:

  • Picture or letter of a qualifying income-based assistance program such as SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, etc.

  • Note or letter from a faith leader or a social service agency confirming your need

  • Dated document showing your low income level

Chromebook $35

Most popular. Compact size. Easy to Use. Ideal for basic tasks online including remote work and education.


Desktop Computer $35-$45

Best Value. Most have Windows 11 Pro and i5 processors. Includes monitor, keyboard, and mouse ($35). Mini Desktops ($45). Desktops with webcam and speaker ($65)

Laptop $80

Fast, high-performing, business-grade laptops. Most with Windows 11 Pro, 8GB RAM, and solid-state drives.

3. Where and when can I get a computer?

Drop In

Visit our office on Monday from 10am-12pm (except holidays). You can also visit any CompUtah hub that offer our refurbished Chromebooks or laptops.

Email or text TechCharities to make an appointment to purchase and/or pick up your device.

Order Online

BYU Pathway students in the United States can order a device online and it will be shipped. Others in Utah far from a CompUtah Hub are eligible for delivery.
